TIPS FOR REDUCING PROBLEMS IN THE BINDERY
Always press for head and tail bands when a hardcover is specified.
Head and tail bands are the decorative addition at the top and bottom of the spine when a hardcover book is bound. A small strip of cloth with either a solid colour or patterned, they are a small detail but one with a big impact. They really finish a book off, and its these little details that provide beauty and longevity to a book’s lifespan.
