CLOSURES

Closures

This hardback case bound book as you can see, is sewn all sides. Its foam padded with an unusual ribbon. That is extremely narrow as per requested by the client. The closure mechanism is sewn, imitation, leather, and lined. And the place with the magnet is in the actual cover, is sewing around the sides. It’s a magnet closure no instructions needed. Yes, we can sell with leather imitation leather. We can insert so you don’t see any magnets. A functional closure, no instructions needed.

Closures

As you can see from this picture, the elastic size closure is not necessarily a colour match with the cover, but very close.  It stands out.  It’s not one of your usual standard colours.  However, for unusual colours we can often do a colour match from our suppliers.  So, if you need an elasticize closure that coordinates with some kind of colour, we can help.

Closures

This particular closure is almost like a “button and string” or “button and tie” method, which usually has two buttons.  In this situation, it’s a standard eyelet with a die cut piece, which could be as in this one, the same colour as the case, material, or different color, usually with button and ties or button strings.  Quite often the round button is a different colour than the carrier or the cover. This one is very cost-effective, very durable, and very functional.

Closures

The distinctive feature of this book is very simply the white snap closures.  It’s made of plastic; usually snap closures are metal.  Quite frequently the closing mechanism is a looped elasticized string, cotton string or a magnet.  There are several disadvantages of this plastic snap closure. One is that purchasing the white plastic male and female snap closures is that the manufacture is only interested in selling hundreds of thousands of units.  To get only a few hundred or one or two or 3000 is difficult, however, if you want or need a closure like this, I’m sure we can help.

Closures

Of all the many styles of closures this is the only one I’ve seen exactly like this.  There are metal closures, plastic snap closures, closures with button and string. This one is strictly, a flap closure which slides into a loop.  I would suggest very cost-effective, unique and very functional.

Closures

There are many styles of closures; metal snaps, plastic, slide in loops, elastic posts, etc…but this one is one the more usual ones, in that the closure is a “Velcro” fastener.  This fastener is somewhat environmentally friendly, very endurable, and with some limitations they come in a wide range of colours, hopefully matching the particular cover colour of your book.

Closures

This green hardback case bound book is distinctive for three reasons.  First, the elastic size closure is the widest I’ve ever seen. Second, the closure is printed 2024.  Thirdly the open book shows mylar tabs.  The tabs were applied to blue sheets, therefore looks blue.  It could be white paper which is more standard and we simply apply a light blue tab.  Tabs can be widths from a ¼” to 3/8” to ½” to 5/8”, side by side.  Bottom to top can be up to 11”.  They could be square cut, angle cut, standard round corner.  If you need mylar tabs in hardback case bound books, please give us a call.

Closures

This is another example with a leather closure on a hardback case bound book.  As you can see, the white leather strap has been riveted twice in the back cover. The dome portion of the front is snapped on to a rounded post.  Very durable.  Not as environmentally friendly as other closing methods on the face of the book, but if you need a hardback case, bound book, or some creative ways of having a closure we have several to choose from.

Closures

This is yet another unusual mechanism for hardback case bound book. The flap is sewn, three locations sewn to the back cover, sewing on all four sides. It’s magnetized.  Extremely durable. In our operation one of the most cost-effective closing mechanisms.  So, for book closure ideas, please give us a call we can help.

Magnetic Metal Closure

This is an unfinished mock-up for a box that we make regularly. Externally the closure, which will be subsequently engraved is metal with magnet.  When you open the product a smaller sized book is to go in it.  There will be a ribbon attached, so when the flaps are opened you lift the ribbon and out comes the book.  So if you want boxes that hold your hardback case bound books, sleeves or conventional three panel lids or conventional top and bottom lids like a conventional chocolate box; something that is stiff, often called a “rigid box.’  Something for your hardback case bound books.  Please give us a call thanks.

Post Closures

These pictures are of a hardback case bound book with a “post” closure.  You see the rounded leather strap has been sewn around the edges.  The silver post is permanent.  It’s not environmentally friendly.  Extremely simple to use.  Very durable.  Of the different methods of closures on a hardback case bound book this is one of the best.  This is a very cost-effective method.

Pattern Elastic Closures

This book is distinctive for four reasons. The first is something I’ve never seen before; the multicoloured pattern elastic book closure.  Secondly, not only does it have a matching ribbon, but two ribbons.  Thirdly, it’s multicolour printed end papers and fourthly, the edges head, foot and face are stained, but the multicoloured elasticized book closure is by far the most distinctive.

Magnet Flap Closures

These four pictures show a simple, functional book closure.  The size is larger than I’ve ever seen before, the flap, as you can see a sewn around the edges. You can see from the open flap, the magnet bulging through, but you can’t see any magnet bulge in the actual front cover.  The flap is the exact colour match.  Again another book closure, which is very durable, extremely fast and simple to use.
