Button & Tie – Several months ago I did an eblast about “button & tie,” (sometimes called “button & string”). We are seeing more jobs requiring a “button & tie string” increasingly. We are getting calls to colour match the two “circles” or colour match the string or…colour match the eyelet! Ninety-nine percent of the jobs have a common diameter eyelet (3/16” size). Most of the “circles” are a common size ¾” wide. Sometimes the string is shiny, or dull, loose twist like thin rope, somewhat stiff or very limp. We have done “button & tie” jobs that close.

Last year alone we used over one million eyelets! We have 15 eyeletting machines. Our large capacity allows us to give somewhat faster deliveries.
You’ll notice the high-profile companies that use the “button & tie” process for their packaging for such as “Burberry” (picture #5) and J. Crew! (picture #6).
